s -2- The 2-The Village Attorney was directed to draft a Snowmobile Ordinance for consider- ation in two weeks. Motion by Councilman Crouse and seconded by Councilman Kukielka that the proposal of Layne of Minnesota Company to pull and inspect Well #4 be accepted as per their letter dated January 23, 1970 in the estimated amount of $551.63. Motion carried. The Council gave voice approval to the acceptance of the new water pumping rate to substitute for the interruptable rate on which basis the Village is presently served. Motion by Councilman Levandowski and seconded by Councilman Crouse that the Village reinstall the "No Parking Sign" 9 P.M. to 2 A.M., on the North side of 27th Avenue N.E. from Wilson Street to the alley West of 3 Circle Drive In. Motion carried. The Village Attorney requested Council approval to explore the possibility of settlement of the former Volunteer Fire Department law suit. Councilman Crouse moved and seconded by Councilman Kukielka that the Village • Attorney be directed to explore a negotiated settlement possibility with the attorney for the former Volunteer Fire Department. Motion carried. Motion by Councilman Levandowski and seconded by Councilman Kukielka that the lir�nse request of U.S. Bench Corporation be approved. Motion carried. Motion by Councilman Crouse and seconded by Councilman Kukielka that the hearing license e H.S. Horwitz, Inc. be approved as requested. Motion carried. Motion by Councilman Levandowski and seconded by Councilman Crouse that the certificate of the engineer, Improvement 1969-1, $1,727.44 be approved as sub- mitted. Motion carried. A discussion of Council Meeting Rules was tabled to the 1st meeting in March. Motion by Councilman Crouse and seconded by Mayor Miedtke that the Village Manager be directed to contact the City of Minneapolis regarding execution of a mutual aid agreement. • Motion carried.
