r -4- Motion by Councilman Kukielka and seconded by Councilman Crouse to approve the request of Mr. Stark for the construction of a five foot #9 wire fence on the St. Charles playground on the Village right of way on 27th Avenue N.E. Motion carried. Mr. McDonald, representing Local 57, appeared in regard to the settling of the police contracts. He stated that there was some problem with the scheduling of the police officers and that was the reason for not signing their contracts. Mayor Miedtke called a special meeting to be held on Tuesday, June 2, 1970, at 8:00 o'clock P.M. for a hearing on the suspension of one of the patrolmen. Councilman Crouse introduced Resolution 70-019 and moved its adoption as amended by the Village Attorney. RESOLUTION 70-019 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CONTINUED PAY- MENTS TO MINNEAPOLIS FOR USE OF MINNE- APOLIS-ST. PAUL SANITARY DISTRICT SEWER- AGE WORKS The resolution was duly seconded by Councilman Emond. • Voting on the resolution: Aye: Crouse, Emond, Miedtke, Levandowski, Kukielka Nay: None Resolution declared adopted. Motion by Councilman Kukielka and seconded by Councilman Emond that we waive the third reading of Ordinance 1970-6 and that it be adopted. ORDINANCE 1970-6 AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO AND REGUL- ATING THE USE AND OPERATION OF SNOW- MOBILES Motion carried, Motion by Councilman Emond and seconded by Councilman Kukielka that the Mayor and the Village Manager enter into agreement with Columbia Heights and New Brighton for improvement of Ramsey County Ditch #3 as recommended by the Village Attorney. Motion carried. Motion by Councilman Emond and seconded by Councilman Crouse to pay the delinquent taxes of $110.62 as outlined in the letter from the County Auditor on the holding pond property in New Brighton. Motion carried.
