-2- <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Mayor Miedtke also suggested that an attendance factor should be written into the <br /> ordinance regulating the activitires of the Planning Board. <br /> Mr. Dulgar advised the Council of the urgency of finding new Council Chambers in <br /> order that the present facilities could be converted to a combination dormitory <br /> and conference room for the Fire Department. He told them that the Fire Marshall <br /> had already directed that the present sleeping accomodations in the fire station <br /> be vacated as soon as possible. The manager estimated the cost of renovating <br /> the Council Chambers for Fire Department use would run between $300 and $400. <br /> Future Council meetings would be held in one of the schools. Dr. Renz, Supt. <br /> of St. Anthony Schools has informed Mr. Dulgar that the only space now available <br /> for temporary use by the Council would be two rooms at Wilshire School. One of <br /> these rooms might be used for storage space. <br /> Motion by Councilman Sundland, seconded by Councilman Haik that the Council <br /> Chambers be moved to Wilshire School for use by the Council and Planning Board <br /> for regular and special meetings with the first meeting to be held in the new <br /> facilities that of the Planning Board scheduled for January 15, 1974. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Motion by Councilman Sundland, seconded by Councilman Haik to waive further <br /> readings and adopt Ordinance 1974-001. <br /> ORDINANCE 1974-001 <br /> AN ORDINANCE REIA TING TO THE FIRE PREVENTION <br /> CODE OF THE CITY OF ST. ANTHONY AMENDING <br /> SECTION 321.20, OF THE 1973 CODE OF ORDINANCES <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Jim Fornell reported the results of the survey he had made at the request of <br /> Councilman Haik to ascertain the readership of the Sun Newspapers, Star & Tribune <br /> and the New Brighton Bulletin.- Mr. Vickrey pointed out only one publication <br /> should be designated the official newspaper for the City of St. Anthony. <br /> Motion by Councilman Sundland, seconded by Councilman Stauffer to adopt <br /> Resolution #74-001. <br /> RESOLUTION 74-001 <br /> RESOLUTION DESIGNATING LEGAL NEWSPAPER <br /> FOR THE CALENDAR YEAR 1974. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Motion by Councilman Sundland, seconded by Councilman Sauer to adopt Resolution <br /> #74-002. <br /> RESOLUTION 74-002 <br /> RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING MARCH 15, 1974 <br /> • AS CUT OFF DATE FOR RECEIVING PETITIONS <br /> FOR PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS <br /> Motion carried. <br />
