-6- <br /> The Suburban Health Nursing 3rd Quarter 1973 report was discussed and filed as <br /> informational. Mr. Dulgar reported that Miss Doyle, Director of the Nursing <br /> Service plans to attend a Council meeting to discuss the services they extend <br /> to the community. <br /> The Police and Fire Reports for November were filed with the Council indicating <br /> a desire to commend both departments for the excellent cooperation illustrated <br /> at a recent fire. <br /> Motion by Councilman Sundland, seconded by Councilman Haik to approve payment <br /> to Comstock & Davis in the amounts of $222.98, $170.54, $472.18, $5,448.55, $815.26• <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Motion by Councilman Sundland., seconded by Councilman Stauffer to approve payment <br /> of $1,493.25 to the Dorsey Firm. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Councilman Stauffer reported a complaint from a resident of the hazard to bicycle <br /> riding caused by the storm sewer grates near her residence. Mr. Dulgar reported <br /> the Maintenance Department is working on improvement of all grates although <br /> he also pointed out that turning the grates often interferred with proper drainage. <br /> Councilman Sundland expressed his gratitude for the concern shown by the Council <br /> • members and members of the staff at the time of his father's death. <br /> Councilman Sauer said he was impressed with the liquor store reports and Mr. <br /> Dulgar said he would pass on to the store managers Councilman's Sauer's <br /> commendation for the good report. <br /> Motion by Councilman Sauer and Seconded by Councilman Sundland to direct the <br /> Manager to convey the thanks of the Council to the various members of the staff <br /> for the tremendous job they did in 1973• <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Councilman Haik expressed her chagrin at noting that the City of St. Anthony is <br /> involved in the court case against the Metro Sewer Authority. Mr. Dulgar <br /> explained that we are part of a joint powers agreement with other communities <br /> which necessitates our involvement in the suit. <br /> It was decided that Councilman Stauffer and Sauer and Mr. Dulgar would meet at <br /> 9:30 A.M. January 21st with Fire Department personnel regarding the future <br /> purchase of a new piece of fire apparatus discussed at the last Council meeting. <br /> Mr. Dulgar reported the availability to all Council members of the Minnesota <br /> ]Legislative Bulletins. <br /> Mayor Miedtke told the Council that the Hennepin County Board of Commissioners <br /> would meet in the St. Anthony Council Chambers at 7:30 P.M. February 4, 1974 <br /> and expressed the hope that the library survey would be available for discussion <br /> that evening. <br /> It was decided that Mayor Miedtke, Councilman Stauffer and Haik will meet with <br /> the St. Anthony School Board regarding the possibility of the vacation of one <br /> of the elementary buildings and its use by the city. <br />
