-4- <br /> The <br /> 4-The plans for a high pressure system designed to alleviate the water pressure <br /> problems in the area between Silver Lake Road and Rankin Road and from 31st <br /> Avenue N.F. to 33rd Avenue N.E. were presented by Mr. Comstock who told the <br /> Council the new system would increase the water pressure in the area to an <br /> average of 36 lbs. per square inch. <br /> Motion by Councilman Sauer, seconded by Councilman Sundland to accept the plans <br /> submitted by Mr. Comstock and authorize the awarding of bids at 12 Noon March <br /> 26th, 1974 for furnishing work and materials necessary for the installation of <br /> Water Improvement Project 1974-1 with a public hearing on the project set for <br /> the second meeting of the Council on March 26th. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Motion by Councilman Sundland, seconded by Mayor Miedtke to grant licenses <br /> listed in the agenda of February 12, 1974. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Councilman Haik told of the favorable impression she had of the Ramsey County <br /> League and said she felt the quality of their operation was very good. <br /> Motion by Councilman Sundland, seconded by Councilman Haik to join the Ramsey <br /> County League and pay the dues of $139.80. <br /> • Motion carried. <br /> Motion by Councilman Sauer, seconded by Councilman Stauffer to appoint <br /> Councilman Haik as delegate to the Ramsey County League and Mr. Dulgar as <br /> alternate delegate. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Motion by Councilman Stauffer,seconded by Mayor Miedtke to approve the payment <br /> of all verified claims as listed in the February 12th agenda. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> The meeting was recessed at 10 P.M. and reconvened at 10:07 P.M. <br /> The Constructive Design Architects plans for remodeling the municipal liquor <br /> store lounge was presented by Councilman Sundland and Mr. Dulgar gave the cost <br /> figures and suggested how the renovating work could be done in stages which would <br /> not interfere with most productive sales season of the year. <br /> Motion by Councilman Sauer, seconded by Councilman Stauffer to direct the archit- <br /> ects to proceed with the preparation of the construction documents and present <br /> the documents which should include the repair of the deteriorating sections of <br /> the exterior of the liquor lounge to the Council. <br /> • Motion carried. <br /> Motion by Councilman Sundland, seconded by Councilman Sauer to adjourn at 10:35. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> ' Mayor <br /> A TTl'S T ve A - <br /> Clerk <br /> ry M ger <br />
