J <br /> -3- <br /> Motion by Mayor Miedtke and seconded by Councilman Sundland that the Maintenance <br /> • Department be directed to construct a pathway partway around the holding pond at <br /> Mirror Lake Manor only on the existing grade within the corporate limits of the <br /> City of St. Anthony and refer any further expenditures to the Community Services <br /> Committee. <br /> Voting on the motion: <br /> Aye: Miedtke, Sundland <br /> Nay: Haik, Sauer, Stauffer <br /> Motion not carried. <br /> Motion by Councilman Haik, seconded by Councilman Sauer to direct the City <br /> Manager to contact New Brighton for a building permit to construct a pathway <br /> all around the holding pond at Mirror Lake Manor and to set up an informational <br /> meeting of the residents of the adjacent property and the Planning Board where <br /> the project might be discussed. <br /> Voting on the motion: <br /> Aye: Haik, Sauer, Stauffer <br /> Nay: Miedtke, Sandland <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Motion by Councilman Haik, second.-2d by Councilman Sauer that a request be made <br /> • to the Planning Board that the Cvancil be invited to the board's next work <br /> session so that Council members can gain some understanding of the Board's <br /> objectives and find out how they are progressing with the rewriting of the <br /> zoning ordinance. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Mr. Dulgar reported that meetings regarding the curfew had resulted in a <br /> recommendation that the curfew regulation be left as it was and said that <br /> Barbara Davidson of the Community Services Department would present her report <br /> on the matter at a later date. <br /> Motion by Councilman Sauer, seconded by Councilman Haik to thank Fire Chief <br /> Monroe Hall for the very precise and complete annual fire report. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Mr. Dulgar was appointed to the nominating committee of the Suburban League of <br /> Municipalities March 7, 197+ and he reported on matters generating a possible <br /> vote in the league. <br /> The manager reported on his recent trip to Washington, D.C. where he attended <br /> the League of Cities and U.S. Congress of Mayors meetings. He told of his <br /> meeting with Minnesota congressmen and their staff and expressed the hope that <br /> some of the Council would be able to attend the meetings next year. <br /> • Motion by Council Sundland, seconded by Councilman Sauer to grant all licenses <br /> listed in the agenda of March 12, 197+. <br /> Motion carried. <br />
