ANTHONY <br /> • COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> April 23, 1974 <br /> The meeting was called to order by Mayor Miedtke at 7:30 P.M. <br /> The following were present at roll call: Haik, Stauffer, Sauer, Sundland, Miedtke. <br /> Also present: Jerry Dulgar, City Manager <br /> Larry Vickrey, City Attorney <br /> Jim Fornell, Adm. Asst. <br /> The following amendments were made to the Council meeting minutes of April 9,1974: <br /> Page 3: Para. 7: Should be St. Anthony "School" Board. <br /> Page 4: Para. 7: Notation should be made that Councilman Sauer left the <br /> meeting at 10:35 P.M. before the voting on the replacement <br /> of Mr. Peterson on the Planning Board. <br /> Motion by Councilman Sundland, seconded by Councilman Haik to approve the minutes <br /> of April 9, 1974 as amended. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Mrs. Marlys Berg, Chairman of the Human Rights Committee presented the minutes of <br /> her committee's meeting April 2, 1974 and the minutes were filed. <br /> Mr. Wil Johnson of the Planning Board presented the recommendation to the Council <br /> made by the Board at their meeting April 16, 1974. <br /> • He gave a resume of the Board's discussions and recommendations regarding the <br /> request from the Frederick Herfurth Company to convert the home they had purchased <br /> at 3901 Silver Lake Road to a r a.l estate office telling the Council that the <br /> Board felt the proposed use of t:iie ].and conformed to the concepts established by <br /> the North End Study as well as the plan for the area being considered by the Board <br /> in its revision of the zoning ordinance. <br /> In the discussion which followed Mr. Frederick Herfurth and Mrs. Carol Brown of <br /> the Herfurth Company presented their defense of the use of the land for a real <br /> estate office as a good residential type addition to the neighborhood and Mr. Ray <br /> Marshall of Midwest Planning showed the Council the revised site plans for the <br /> project. A letter from Mr. Wayne Field of the Rembrandt Company stating his firm's <br /> intention of constructing the retirement apartments north of the property in <br /> question as soon as the project's financing cleared government agencies was read <br /> by Mayor Miedtke. <br /> Motion by Councilman Sundland, seconded by Councilman Stauffer to table action on <br /> the Herfurth request for a conditional use permit for a real estate office until <br /> such time as an application for a building- permit is made by the Rembrandt Company <br /> to erect the retirement complex. <br /> 'Motion carried. <br /> • <br />
