-2- <br /> /After Mr. Marks had presented the Board's recommendation to grant a conditional <br /> • use permit to Mrs. Lorraine Witz for a child care center in her home at 3201 <br /> Diamond Fight Terrace, the city attorney advised the Council that granting such <br /> a permit required an affirmation by at least four of the five Council members <br /> \and action on the matter was tabled to the next meeting of the Council. <br /> No further action was taken on the request for a MacDonald's Restaurant to be <br /> built in the St. Anthony Office Park, Mr. Marks told the Council. <br /> He mentioned the Board's desire to gain some response from the community <br /> regarding parks and Councilman Sauer reported that the results of the Community <br /> Services Survey would be available at the next meeting of the Community <br /> Services Advisory Committee. <br /> Mrs. Marlys Berg, Chairman of the Human Relations Committee presented the un- <br /> animous recommendation of her committee that Hans Selvog be retained and his <br /> youth contact program be continued for the full two years which she said the <br /> committee understood the Council had intended when the project was approved <br /> by them. Councilman Stauffer told Mrs. Berg that the Council had stipulated <br /> that the program be reviewed for further financing at the end of the first <br /> year. Mr. Dulgar said the item would be included for consideration by the <br /> Council in the budget for 1975 which was being prepared this summer and stated <br /> that he felt the program was worthwhile and should be continued for another <br /> year. <br /> Mrs. Berg reported that a vacancy on the Human Relations Committee had resulted <br /> • from the move from the city of Ray Spack. <br /> Motion by Councilman Sauer, seconded by Councilman Haik to adopt Resolution <br /> 74-022. <br /> RESOLUTION 74-022 <br /> A RESOLUTION MODIFYING THE 1974,-BUDGFT <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Motion by Councilman Haik, seconded by Councilman Sauer to approve the final <br /> plat of the Henkel Addition upon payment of the $165.00 legal fees. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Mr. Tom Rohner, 3301 East Gate Road, requested the use of the Council Chambers <br /> in the Wilshire School for meetings of the Republican Party of St. Anthony. <br /> Although Mr. Dulgar reported that he was making a contact with the School <br /> Board regarding the matter before their meeting July 17th, Mr. Rohner was also <br /> advised to contact the Board to work out arrangements for a custodian to work <br /> at the school during the meeting since such custodians do not normally work <br /> in the school in the evening during the vacation months. The possibilities of <br /> the Republicans using the building at Emerald Park or the community room at <br /> Apache Plaza were also considered. Councilman Sauer said he would contact the <br /> Apache Plaza management regarding the use of the community rooms with no fees <br /> charged the political group for furnishing their own refreshments. <br /> • Mr. Dulgar indicated that Mayor Miedtke had expressed a desire to again inter- <br /> view candidates to fill the vacancy left on the Planning Board by the election <br /> of Mr. Lowell Thompson to the School Board. <br />
