CITY OF ST. ANTHONY <br /> • COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> January 11, 1977 <br /> The meeting was called to order. by Mayor Pliedtke at 7 - 31 P .M. <br /> Present for roll call: Sundland, Haik, Miedtke, Stauffer and Sauer <br /> Also present, Jim Fornell , Adm. Asst. <br /> Larry Vickrey , City Attorney <br /> Motion by Councilman Haik and seconded by Councilran Stauffer to <br /> approve the minutes for the December 21, 1976 Council meeting. <br /> Motion carried. unanivously. <br /> The minutes for the January 4 , 1977 Council meeting were corrected as <br /> follows - <br /> Page 5 , paragraph 3 ° Correct "Strength Change Systerre"to <br /> "Strength Charge System" where it <br /> is referred to in the motion and <br /> the identification of the Resolution <br /> • 77-012 . <br /> Motion by Councilman Sauer and seconded by Councilman Haik to approve <br /> the minutes for the January 4, 1977 Council meeting as corrected. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Jerry Cowan appeared to present recommendations of the Planning Board <br /> to the Council made during the Board's December 21, 1976 meeting. <br /> M"r. Cowan told of the revised plans for a Twin City Federal Savings <br /> and Loan Ccmpar,y branch office at the southeast corner of 39th Avenue <br /> N.F. and Silver Lake Road, a proposal for which. TCF had been granted <br /> a conditional use permit, subject to final review. The Planning <br /> Board representative said the Board members had some reservations about <br /> the placement of the building, traffic patterns set by the installation <br /> of drive in tellers and were very concerned with the size of the sign <br /> which TCF was proposing to erect. <br /> Another member of the Plannina Board, Richard. P.yrnarchick, who with <br /> Ken Hiebel and William Bowerman have been instructed to establish <br /> guidelines for free standing signs for eventual incorporation into <br /> the City's sign ordinance, then rose to explain that though his group <br /> have studied some existing signs in the community and. have obtained <br /> input from various sign companies , they are not yet prepared to make <br /> specific recommendations for changes in the sign ordinance. However, <br /> • he added, the Board had expressed their opinion that the sign TCF had <br /> proposed for their consideration would probably not be compatible with <br />
