Motion carried unanimously. • Mr. Vickrey questioned the bid form to be used for water well pump service and testing, feeling it may not permit a true comparison of respective bids. Motion by Councilman Sauer and seconded by Councilman Haik to author- ize the advertising for bids for routine maintenance service for water well #4 and pumps . Motion carried unanimously. Councilman Stauffer relayed conversations she has had recently which would seem to support the City's retention of the North Memorial Hospital Nursing Service. The Suburban Public .Health Nursing Service letter was then filed. No action was taken on the request from the Minnesota Pollution Con- trol Agency for Council's lobbying for the federal construction grants program. The North Memorial Center report for the year was filed. Motion by Councilman Sundland and seconded by Councilman Stauffer to adopt a resolution to join the Hennepin County Criminal Justice Co- ordinating Council. • RESOLUTION 77-010 A JOINT RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING THE HENNEPIN COUNTY CRIMINAL JUSTICE COORDINATING COUNCIL Plotion carried unanimously. The Police Report for November 1976 was filed. The discussion regarding Resolution 77-008 appointing a Consulting Engineer for the City was resumed with a consideration of applications from the PJcCombs-Knutson and the Mateff_y firms . Councilman Haik ex- pressed her appreciation of the comparison of services which had been provided by the staff but she and the other Council members felt consideration should also be given to other firms before a de- cision is reached. Mr. Vickrey suggested sounding out other commu- nities regarding the engineering services they have as well as prob- lems they may have encountered which may be similar to those the City has or may have in the future. Motion by Councilman Sundland and seconded by Councilman Sauer to request the Manager to set up informal interviews with a few engi- neering' firrs who now serve the first and second tier metropolitan communities of similar size to St. AlithollY . Motion carried unanimously. • Mayor Miedtke then read the commendation from the Secretary of State for the record breaking voter turnout in St. Anthony for the Novem- ber elections. (6)
