CITY OF ST. ANTHONY <br /> COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> February 13, 1979 <br /> The meeting was called to order by Mayor Haik at 7: 35 p.m. <br /> Present for roll call : Sauer, Haik, Ranallo and Letourneau <br /> Absent: Sundland <br /> Also present: Jim Fornell, City Manager <br /> Bill Soth, City Attorney <br /> Carol Johnson, Clerk/Treasurer <br /> Ray Nelson, Liquor Manager <br /> The minutes for the January 23rd Council meeting were corrected to refer <br /> to Governor Quie 's resolution regarding the "Minnesota" rather than "model" <br /> cities observance. <br /> Motion by Councilman Ranallo and seconded by Councilman Letourneau to ap- <br /> prove the minutes for the Council meeting held January 23, 1979 as correct- <br /> ed. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> • Addendum to the Agenda for Resolutions #79-016 and #79-017 as well as the <br /> proclamation regarding the Rock and Roll Jamboree at the St. Anthony <br /> Health Center were accepted. <br /> Mr. Fornell will research the minutes referring to the establishment of the <br /> Chemical Abuse Information Committee to find references to the Council 's <br /> intention as to continuance of the initial funding of the committee. The <br /> Committee's January 16th minutes were noted and filed. <br /> Motion by Councilman Ranallo and seconded by Councilman Sauer to approve <br /> the second reading of Ordinance 1979-002. <br /> ORDINANCE 1979-002 <br /> AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO WATER DEPARTMENT <br /> REGULATIONS AND WATER CHARGES AND RATES, AMENDING <br /> PORTIONS OF SECTIONS 245 AND 550 OF THE 1973 CODE OF ORDINANCES <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> The ordinance which repeals Section 135 of the 1973 Code of Ordinances was <br /> discussed with the City Manager and Attorney who suggested several further <br /> changes in wording. <br /> Motion by Councilman Letourneau and seconded by Councilman Sauer to adopt <br /> • the first reading of Ordinance 1979-001. <br />
