ANTHONY <br /> COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> May 8 , 1979 <br /> The meeting was called to order at 7 : 30 p.m. by Mayor Pro Tem <br /> Sundland. <br /> Present for roll call : Letourneau, Ranallo, Sundland and Sauer. <br /> Absent: Haik. <br /> Also present: Jim Fornell , City Manager <br /> Ron Berg, Administrative Assistant <br /> William Soth , City Attorney <br /> Motion by Councilman Sauer and seconded by Councilman Letourneau to <br /> approve the minutes as submitted for the Council meeting April 24 , <br /> 1979 . <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Motion by Councilman Letourneau and seconded by Councilman Sauer to <br /> approve as submitted the minutes for the Council work session April <br /> 26 , 1979 . <br /> Resolution 79-030 was accepted as an Agenda addition. <br /> • The ordinance relating to the City personnel policy had been further <br /> revised to change the compulsory retirement age to conform with the <br /> federal statutes and to exclude the position of City Manager. <br /> Motion by Councilman Ranallo and seconded by Councilman Letourneau <br /> to adopt Ordinance 1979-001 <br /> ORDINANCE 1979-001 <br /> AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO CITY PERSONNEL AND ESTABLISHING <br /> A BASIC PERSONNEL POLICY, REPEALING SECTION 135 OF THE <br /> 1973 CODE OF ORDINANCES <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Motion by Councilman Sundland and seconded by Councilman Ranallo to <br /> approve the final reading and adopt Ordinance 1979-004 . <br /> ORDINANCE 1979-004 <br /> AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A VEHICLE USE POLICY, <br /> REPEALING SECTION 135 : 87 OF THE 1973 CODE OF ORDINANCES <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Mr. Fornell announced the membership of Local 17 , representing the <br /> bartenders unit, had accepted the terms of the new contract with <br /> the Citv . <br /> a <br /> - Y <br />
