Closing on Custom Liquidators Building on April 15`h. <br /> 9 Mayor Cavanaugh added he felt it was very important that as many Councilmembers as possible <br /> 10 attend the bus tour on March 3151, so they are all on the "same page" when discussing the housing <br /> 1 I in the future. <br /> 12 Councilmember Sparks stated that the City Hall Improvement Task Force discussed improving <br /> 13 the signage for the City Hall building and they will begin to set priorities. Councilmember <br /> 14 Sparks added that the City newsletter has been improved, with a contemporary new look, and <br /> 15 will be easier to read. <br /> 16 Councilmember Thuesen offered his support to improve the signage on the City Hall building. <br /> He noted that he had attended the Planning Commission meeting last week, and noticed that they <br /> are a very committed group. Mayor Cavanaugh concurred. <br /> 19 Mayor Cavanaugh noted that a meeting is scheduled at the Community Center for eighth grade <br /> 20 parents on awareness and networking. He asked Councilmember Sparks what would be <br /> 21 discussed, and if members of the Council should attend. Councilmember Sparks responded that <br /> 22 they would be discussing alcohol and drug use, eighth grade parent- child issues, and that <br /> 23 members of the Council were welcome to attend. <br /> 24 Mayor Cavanaugh relayed some information on Villagefest. He stated that a meeting was held <br /> 25 earlier to discuss Villagefest, and only four residents showed up. After factoring several issues <br /> 26 that surround Villagefest, Mayor Cavanaugh recommended that Villagefest not take place this <br /> 27 year. He added that there will be a meeting on April 4`h at 7:00 p.m. to discuss other options to <br /> 28 do in the park during the summer months, and that all are welcome and encouraged to attend. <br /> 29 Councilmember Hodson asked of the status of the Salvation Army property. Mayor Cavanaugh <br /> 30 responded that they have not heard from the Salvation Army headquarters in Chicago, and have <br /> 31 been instructed to wait to hear from them. <br /> 32 XII.
