Resolution 01-066, re: Re-roof on main water filtration plant (Jay Hartman, Public Works <br /> 2 Director, will be present). <br /> 3 Mike Mornson stated that the building has not been re-roofed since the 1950's and that the roof <br /> 4 received a lot of damage from the rain. He stated that it is a big project in terms of a roofing project, <br /> 5 and will cost $50,000. Mr. Morrison added that they would recommend option one that states that <br /> 6 SEH will help them out by producing a set of performance specifications with a general roof plan which <br /> 7 they will negotiate with the invited bidders. He added that there is money in the water filtration fund to <br /> 8 take care of this project. <br /> 9 <br /> 10 Motion by Councilmember Thuesen to adopt Resolution 01-066, referring to option number one re: <br /> 11 Re-roof on main water filtration plant. <br /> 12 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 13 XI. REPORTS FROM COMMISSIONS AND STAFF. <br /> 14 <br /> 15 A. Planning Commission–June 19, 2001. <br /> 1. Subdivision request for 2816 HighwaY88. (Resolution 01-069) <br /> 6 ) <br /> Commissioner Thomas stated that Mr. Palkowski was present, and that his request was <br /> 18 routine. Therefore, Commissioner Thomas recommended that the Council approve his <br /> 19 subdivision request. <br /> 20 Mayor Cavanaugh asked why this needed to be done. Mr. Palkowski stated he wanted it to <br /> 21 be treated as one lot going forward. <br /> 22 Motion by Commissioner Sparks to adopt Resolution 01-069 re: Sub-division request for <br /> 23 2816 Highway 88. <br /> 24 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 25 2. Ordinance 2001-2002, re: Electronic signs (Is' reading <br /> 26 Commissioner Thomas informed the Council that the discussion among the Planning <br /> 27 Commissioners was a very contentious issue, as they wanted to be proactive with an electronic <br /> 28 sign ordinance. <br /> 29 Commissioner Thomas said it was a question of whether to write the ordinance exactly how <br /> 30 they want it, line by line, or to hash out the details with the City Council's input and the <br /> 31 recommendations of the Planning Commission and the sub-committee. <br /> •2 Commissioner Thomas stated that they wanted to essentially deal with the policy issue. He <br /> 33 added that most Commissioners agreed that the ordinance should be changed first, with the <br /> 34 specifics to come later. <br />
