She added that tryouts would be held at the High School next week on
a Thursday and Friday evenings.
5 Councilmember Thuesen stated that the current library system would still be in the Shopping Center,
6 but the owners of the Shopping Center were not ready to publicly comment on where the new library
7 would go. Councilmember Hodson stated that it is more of a small warning that gives the
13 officers the use of another enforcement tool.
464 Mayor Cavanaugh stated that noise is an issue for anyone living on the main roads. He stated that he
5 was entertaining the idea to have the newspaper to do a story on the noise from illegal mufflers. He
16 stated that noise is a quality of life issue.
17 Mayor Cavanaugh stated that the worst part of being issued a speeding ticket was being pulled over.
18 He added that putting a sign up just encourages awareness and sensitivity to the noise issue.
19 Mayor Cavanaugh mentioned a letter he received from the daughter of the first mayor for the City of St.
20 Anthony. She is a senior now, who plays cards in the atrium, and asked why she has to pay a fee to
21 come up here and play cards. Mayor Cavanaugh stated that because card playing in the atrium is
22 under the community services umbrella, and community services charges fees for their programs.
23 Mayor Cavanaugh added that this was not the first time that the issue has come up, and wanted the
24 Council to be aware of his response.
25 XIV.
