ANTHONY <br /> 2 <br /> 0 CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES <br /> 5 May 28, 2003 <br /> 6 <br /> 7 CALL TO ORDER. <br /> 8 Mayor Hodson called the meeting to order at 7:32 p.m. <br /> 9 <br /> 10 ROLL CALL. <br /> 11 Present: Mayor Hodson; Councilmembers Horst, Sparks, Thuesen, and Faust. <br /> 12 Absent: None. <br /> 13 Also Present: City Manager Mike Mornson and City Attorney Jerry Gilligan. <br /> 14 <br /> 15 CONSIDERATION, DISCUSSION, AND POSSIBLE ACTION ON ALL OF THE FOLLOWING <br /> 16 ITEMS. <br /> 17 <br /> 18 I. APPROVAL OF MAY 28, 2003, CITY COUNCIL MEETING AGENDA. <br /> 19 Motion by Councilmember Sparks to approve the City Council Meeting Agenda of May 28, <br /> 20 2003. <br /> 21 <br /> 22 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 23 <br /> 24 II. PROCLAMATIONS AND RECOGNITIONS. <br /> 6 None. <br /> 27 III. COMMUNITY FORUM. <br /> 28 Mayor Hodson invited residents to come forward at this time to address the Council on items that <br /> 29 were not on the regular agenda. <br /> 30 <br /> 31 Mary Bauer, 4000 Foss Road, #103, came forward. She stated that her friend, who has a home <br /> 32 in"mint condition," is being harassed to sell her home so it can be torn down to make a parking <br /> 33 lot. She said this harassment was making both her and her friend nervous. She added that, once <br /> 34 the house was torn down, it would no longer be generating taxes, as it would be a parking lot. <br /> 35 Ms. Bauer also wanted to ask the Council if they knew how many group homes were in the City. <br /> 36 She conveyed concern about some of the problems she felt the group homes were generating. <br /> 37 Mayor Hodson responded that he was not able to tell her the number of group homes in the City. <br /> 38 <br /> 39 Mr. Morrison indicated Ms. Bauer's question would be researched. Councilmember Sparks <br /> 40 asked Mr. Morrison if he would talk to Ms. Bauer after the meeting about her specific questions <br /> 41 and concerns. <br /> 42 <br /> 43 Councilmember Sparks stated that the lighting issue did not appear to be on the agenda. She <br /> 44 added that, even though not stated, it would be discussed under VI(B). <br /> 45 <br /> 46 IV. CONSENT AGENDA. <br /> 41 1. Consider May 13, 2003, Council meeting minutes. <br /> 49 2. Consider licenses and permits. <br />
