• C. Order of Business: <br /> The following order of business is intended as a suggested format only. <br /> Committee procedure may vary from this format at the discretion of the <br /> committee. Suggested length of meetings is one hour: <br /> 1. Call to Order: <br /> Meetings should be called to order promptly at the announced time. <br /> 2. Call Roll of Members: <br /> Make sure each new member knows the others, introduce guests, note <br /> reasons for absences. <br /> 3. Reading of Minutes: <br /> Secretary reads minutes of previous meeting. Give members a chance <br /> to correct the minutes, adding omissions. <br /> 4. Old Business: <br /> Matters -which carry over from previous meetings, report on <br /> assignments given to members, answer questions raised at previous <br /> sessions. <br /> • 5. New Business: <br /> Discussion on conditions, procedures, hazards, etc., which merit <br /> attention. Recommendations to be made for improvement, following <br /> the agenda prepared in advance. <br /> 6. Accident Reviews: <br /> Study of reports of all accidents since the last meeting to analyze the <br /> incident, identify causes, prevent recurrences and make <br /> recommendations. <br /> 7. Special Subject: <br /> Special topics, reports, seasonal subjects, training or other matters. <br /> 8. Adjournment: <br /> Should be on time (After important business has been discussed and <br /> within a reasonable period of time). <br /> CITY OF ST.
