SECTION IX. Amendments, Additions and Deletions: <br /> A. An art of this document may be amended in accordance with the following: <br /> • <br /> YP Y g <br /> 1. The amendment and part to be amended must fall within the proper <br /> jurisdiction of the amending body. <br /> 2. Amending bodies include the Committee, the Director and the City <br /> Manager. <br /> 3. The amended part must be made known to all interested persons such <br /> as program personnel, Committee members, and administrators as <br /> soon as practicable upon adoption. <br /> 4. The amended document cannot conflict with eadsting Municipal, State <br /> or other laws. <br /> 5. The amended document supersedes all previous issues of this <br /> document. <br /> 6. The amendment is not detrimental to the intent of the amending body. <br /> 7. To be valid, an amendment must be adopted following proper • <br /> amendment procedure. <br /> B. Amendment Procedure: <br /> 1. Amendments may be adopted administratively. <br /> 2. The Safety Committee may amend this document as follows: <br /> a. Any member may submit an amendment to the Committee at <br /> a regular meeting. The amendment shall be in written form. <br /> b. An amendment requires two readings for final approval. <br /> C. Action on amendments by the Committee can only be taken at <br /> regular meetings attended by a majority of all listed members. <br /> C. It is the desire of the Committee that"obvious intent" shall govern in instances <br /> where confusion shall occur over meaning and interpretation of this document. <br /> Persistent, unresolved confusion shall be clarified by the amendment as soon <br /> as possible. <br /> CITY OF ST.
