The individual Committee member will undertake such reasonable and <br /> relevant activities as may from time to time be established by the <br /> Committee or safety program personnel, in order to accomplish <br /> Committee business. <br /> 2- A member must at all times exemplify the objectives of the safety <br /> program. <br /> a. The member will wear and properly utilize personal safety <br /> equipment where required and encourage others to do so. <br /> b. Committee members will seek to develop an awareness of <br /> proper safety procedures and attitudes among fellow workers in <br /> an appropriate manner. <br /> C. Members should respond promptly to requests from the <br /> Committee, safety program personnel or others regarding <br /> relevant safety matters. <br /> 3. Members seeking to conduct activities on behalf of Committee business <br /> should endeavor to do so with a minimum of disruption to their normal <br /> department duties, consistent with the accomplishment of such <br /> Committee business. <br /> 4. If it becomes apparent that time required to conduct Committee <br /> business requested of a member conflicts strongly with the member's <br /> • normal departmental duties, the member should attempt to resolve the <br /> conflict by developing, with the supervisor involved, a work schedule <br /> that would permit and expedite completion of both activities with <br /> minimum conflict. <br /> 5. The member should notify the Coordinator of any scheduling conflicts <br /> which have not been resolved. <br /> 6. Unjustified failure on the part of a member to observe or follow <br /> requirements as set forth in this document may result in review or <br /> revocation of membership status by Committee vote or administrative <br /> procedure as described in Section VI. <br /> C. Responsibility for Safety Equipment: <br /> 1. The Committee will supply its members with such personal protective <br /> equipment as may be required for the conduct of official committee <br /> business such as inspection. The Committee does not have the <br /> economic means or budgetary authority to supply safety equipment for <br /> fto Committee use. <br /> 2. It remains the responsibility of individual departments to supply <br /> recommended safety equipment, utilize and maintain such equipment. <br /> CITY OF ST.
