SAFETY REGULATIONS <br /> • MEDICAL AND FIRST AID: <br /> A. In case of emergency contact 911 immediately. <br /> B. All City trucks deemed appropriate shall be equipped with a First Aid Kt. <br /> First Aid Kits shall be maintained in each City of St. Anthony building. <br /> C. All personnel shall be familiar with the location of First Aid Kits at their work <br /> sites. <br /> D. Supervisors shall check First Aid Kt supplies on a periodic basis. <br /> E. Personnel in each shop/office will be trained in first aid and CPR <br /> procedures. These people will be designated by the supervisor. <br /> F. All injuries no matter how minor, are to be reported to supervisor <br /> immediately. <br /> FIRE PROTECTION: <br /> A. Suitable fire extinguishers as determined by the Fire Department shall be <br /> available in all buildings and near high fire hazards. <br /> B. Fire extinguishers shall be maintained in fully operable condition, correctly <br /> labeled and kept in designated places at all times when not in use. <br /> C. All City vehicles deemed appropriate shall be equipped with fire <br /> extinguishers. <br /> D. Extinguishers shall be conspicuously located and labeled where they will be <br /> readily accessible and immediately available in case of fire. <br /> • E. Supervisors shall designate employees to visually check pressure gauges <br /> and seals on extinguishers once a month. <br /> F. All extinguishers shall be thoroughly inspected once a year by a certified <br /> fire extinguisher company. <br /> G. Employees shall be given adequate instruction on the function and <br /> operation of fire extinguishers and be familiar with their locations in the work <br /> area. <br /> H. All employees will receive initial fire extinguisher training as soon as <br /> reasonable after being hired. <br /> I. Oily rags and flammable wastes shall be kept in covered, metal containers. <br /> J. Cleaning solvents with flammable properties shall be kept in approved <br /> safety containers and labeled. <br /> K. Gasoline shall not be used for cleaning purposes. <br /> L. Fuel oil or kerosene for starting fires is to be used only outside. Gasoline <br /> shall not be used for starting fires. <br /> M. "No Smoking" shall be posted and enforced in all places where hazardous <br /> substances are stored or where a sign is posted. <br /> N.
