• February 16, 1999 <br /> Honorable Mayor and City Council <br /> City of St. Anthony <br /> 3301 Silver Lake Road <br /> St. Anthony,MN 55418 <br /> RE: Status Report <br /> Request to Authorize for Bids for the G.A.C.Water Plant <br /> Ceiling Paint Repair, Floor Repair and Ground Water Moisture Leakage <br /> RCM File No. 10491.04 <br /> Dear Honorable Mayor and City Council: <br /> RCM has looked at the G.A.C.filter plant,reviewed the construction specifications that were <br /> used when the plant was built,talked to paint suppliers and contractors and prepared a report <br /> to the Public Works Director on December 23, 1998. <br /> Ic III <br /> The report referenced indicated that a drain tile should be installed on the south,east and north <br /> rieke side of the G.A.C. filter plant adjacent to the building wall. The drain tile will continue along <br /> Carroll the slope of the east side of the water treatment plant building until the existing ground slope <br /> muller <br /> 4 fineer <br /> ociates, inc. allows the tile to empty. The G.A.C. floor discoloration from water seepage and carbon <br /> s replacement operation is to be cleaned, roughened and recoated with a dark urethane finish. <br /> itects The ceiling paint in the G.A.C.filtration plant is loose and falling off in places. The underside <br /> land surveyors <br /> of the ceiling deck will have to have the existing coating removed by non-abrasive blasting and <br /> equal opportunity grinding, roughened and recoated with one coat of acrylic paint. <br /> employer <br /> RCM has prepared the Project Manual for these repairs and has submitted them to the MPCA <br /> for their concurrence with the procurement of construction bids. The project will be bid in <br /> li two parts. One part will be a contract for drain tile installation and the other part for floor and <br /> ceiling repair. <br /> The project cost for construction administration and engineering, testing and inspection <br /> including contingencies is projected to be $65,000.
