VILLAGE OF ST. ANTHONY <br /> PLANNING BOARD MINUTES <br /> July 18, 1967 <br /> 1. The regular meeting of the Planning Board was called to order by Chairman <br /> Pro tem Englund at 7:40 P.M. on Tuesday July 18, 1967. <br /> 2. The Following members were present at roll call. <br /> Mesenbring, Miedtke, Englund, Harty <br /> Absent: Emond, Howitz, Kronk <br /> Also present: Harry Lekson <br /> 3. The minutes of the regular meeting of June 20, 1967 were approved as <br /> submitted. <br /> 4. Public Hearings <br /> a. John Daubney represented Mr. Husnik in presenting preliminary plans <br /> for a 30 unit apartment building to be built in St. Anthony provided the <br /> property of Vadnais Construction Inc. be rezoned from Light Industrial to <br /> Multiple Dwelling. (Parcel 1551 and S 118.9 ft. of parcel 1556. ) Parcel <br /> 1556 to be divided into 2 parcels. (Parcel 1560 and parcel 1565) Parcel <br /> • 1560 is the N 125 ft. of parcel 1556 and parcel 1565 is the S 118.9 ft. of <br /> parcel 1556. Parcel 1560 to be listed to Adam P. Piecek. Mr. Daubney stated <br /> that a better than average building would be built and that they would rent <br /> to a middle age group of tenants. The rental price to range from $170.00 to <br /> $200.00 per month. <br /> There being no further discussion, the hearing was closed. <br /> Upon motion by Miedtke, seconded by Harty, it was moved to recommend to the <br /> Council that the division of parcel 1556 and preliminary plans for a 30 unit <br /> apartment building be approved contingent upon construction within one year <br /> and ordinance 66G being adherred to. <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> b. Kenneth Benson appeared on rezoning of tot 1, Block 2, St . Anthony <br /> Industrial Tract. No one was heard opposing this rezoning so the hearing was <br /> closed. Upon motion by Harty, seconded by Mesenbring, to recommend to the <br /> Council that they approve the rezoning as requested and also the plans for the <br /> restaurant. Mr. Benson was made aware of Ordinance 66G and its application <br /> to commercial property. <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> C. L. J. Moriarty represented Johnson Greenhouses in the hearing to allow <br /> • expansion to their business. Peter Liba of 3316 Edwards was not in favor of <br /> any addition along Edwards St. and this was also the feeling of Mr. & Mrs. <br /> Paquay of 3320 Edwards St. The occupants at 3304 Belden Drive said that trucks <br /> come after midnight to the greenhouse. Upon motion by Mfedtke, seconded by <br /> Harty that the hearing be continued at the next Planning Board meeting on <br /> August 15, 1967. <br /> Motion Carried. <br />
