• -2- <br /> b. <br /> 2-b. Upon motion by Harty, seconded by Kronk, to recommend to the Council <br /> that a public hearing be held to rezone from Light Industrial to Commercial <br /> that parcel of land East of Stinson Boulevard and North of 37th Avenue N.E. <br /> This parcel is now listed as Outlot 3 on the new proposed subdivision of <br /> Apache Plaza presented to the Planning Board by Stanley Peickert of Midwest <br /> Planning and Research, Inc. The D.J. Corporation of 738 W. 66th St. in <br /> Minneapolis represented by C. W. Bartlett requests approval to build and <br /> operate coin operated Two Bay Automatic Car Wash and Three Bay Self Service <br /> Car Wash with gas pumps. <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> 7. Old Business <br /> none <br /> / 8. a. Upon motion by Miedtke, seconded by Elam to recommend to the Council <br /> that approval be given the Firestone Company with the following modifications; <br /> 1. Curb to shield all grass areas. <br /> 2. Planting area to include trees <br /> 3. 2 - 15 ft. curb cuts on east property line. <br /> 4. Grass planting on east line between building and property line <br /> 5. No pylon sign, but to grant a variance of 332 sq. ft. for building <br /> mounted signs. <br /> 6. Storm drainage subject to Engineer approval <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> b. Upon motion by Miedtke, seconded by Harty to recommend to the Council <br /> that approval of plans as presented be given Berger Transfer for an addition <br /> to their building on the North end facing the railroad tracks subject to <br /> plantings. <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> 9. a. Palmer Hermundslie of Medtronic, Inc. discussed with tie Planning <br /> Board the parking requirements �f Medtronics and stated that there would be <br /> parking spaces for 380 cars. he total number of employees on a single shift <br /> would be 300 with a 1/2 hour between shifts to avoid any traffic problems. <br /> Upon motion by Harty, seconded by Miedtke, to recommend to the Council that <br /> approval be given Medtronic Inc. to proceed as the board feels that the <br /> parking requirements are adequate. <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> b. No action on school plan <br /> c. No action on office in home <br /> • d. Lyle Elam and Duane Miedtke volunteered to make a study on fences. <br />
