Old Business - none <br /> 8. Building Permits - none <br /> 9. a. The Planning Board received a letter from Arthur C. Downing voicing <br /> his objection to the property division of Elmer W. Hansen. Upon motion by <br /> Harty, seconded by Miedtke, to recommend to the Council that the request <br /> of Elmer W. Hansen to divide Lot 1, Block 1, Olson's Addition be denied <br /> because of objections by neighbors and also variances needed to build two <br /> homes. <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> b. No action was taken am the Apache Plaza Developmeint Plan, but the <br /> Board suggested that a joint meeting of the Planning Board, and Apache <br /> officials be held as soon as a date can be set. <br /> c. No action on Cedar Properties. <br /> • d. Upon motion by Elam, seconded by Harty, to recommend to the Council <br /> that the procedure of obtaining street lights be changed from a petition <br /> form to one whereby the Council approves a Master Plan concerning street <br /> lighting. The Master Plan can be the one presented or a study by N.S.P. <br /> Once the Master Plan is approved the responsibility for administration would be <br /> with the Village Manager. The Village Manager would decide priority of <br /> lighting allowable by the budget and have lighting installed accordingly. <br /> The Village Manager should feel free to confer with the Chief of Police <br /> and Village Engineer in deciding what street lighting would- be installed <br /> each year. <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> e. Upon motion by Elam, seconded by Miedtke to table the request of Law- <br /> rence Sign to replace a Conoco sign with a Mileage sign at 3001 - 37th <br /> Avenue N.E. for more information as to size and height of sign. <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> f. Upon motion by Harty* seconded by Englund, to recommend to the <br /> Council that the request of Birger L. Kylander to divide the East 130 ft. <br /> of Lot 19, Block 5, and the North 16 ft. of Lot 18, Block 5, be approved, <br /> provided replatting is done as required in Ordinance 62. This would result <br /> in 2 lots one being 70 ft. and the other 71 ft. so the required variance <br /> • in width is also included. <br />
