VILLAGE OF ST, ANTHONY <br /> PLANNING 90ARD MEETING <br /> September 17, 196E <br /> 1 . The regular meeting of the Planning Board was called to order by Chairman <br /> Howitz at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 17, 1968. <br /> 2. The following were present at roll call : <br /> Mesenbring, Kronk, Miedtke, Howitz, Harty, Englund. <br /> 3. The minutes of the August 20, 1968 meeting were read and approved as read. <br /> 4. Public Hearings - none. <br /> 5. ,Ordinance Variations. <br /> / a) A. J. Martin requested approval to build an attached garage at 3421 <br /> Edwards St. N. E. with a 5 ft. front yard and a 2 ft. side variance. This is the <br /> same request as was made last month except the requested front yard variance was <br /> changed from 10 ft. to 5 ft. Upon motion by Harty, seconded by Englund to recommend <br /> to the Council that the request be denied. <br /> \tion carried. <br /> • b) Raymond Haik requested approval to build on Lot 7, Block 4, Harstad 2nd <br /> Addition with a 20 ft. front yard variance. Upon motion by Harty, seconded by <br /> Kronk that the request be tabled to ask Mr. Haik for a letter from the neighbor <br /> to the North stating that he has no objection and to more clearly demonstrate the <br /> hardship involved to necessitate such a large and unusual variance. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> 6. Zoning Varictions. <br /> a)_ Gordon 'Iedlund presented a plot plan for a 3C6 unit town house comole- on <br /> F-is 4 acre si'.e on the East side of Silver Lake Road across from Apac'ie P13zn. <br /> Upon motion .'.y 71iedtke, seconded by Englund to table any action until the October <br /> Planning Board meeting to provide time to study the entire area including Apache <br /> Corporation's latest plans. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> b) Harry Jenniges appeared to verbally request that the Kenzie property at <br /> the Minneapolis end of Kenzie Terrace be rezoned from commercial to part commercial <br /> and part multiple dwelling. The area requested to be multiple dwelling borders <br /> Lowry Avenue and is approximately 210 ft. by 185 ft. Upon motion by Englund <br /> seconded by Kronk to recommend to the Council that a public hearing on his specific <br /> request be held at the October Planning hoard Meeting. <br /> • For: Kronk, Mesenbring, Harty, Englund. <br /> Against : �Iowitz, iliedtke. <br /> Motion carried. <br />
