h <br /> VILLAGE OF ST. ANTHONY <br /> PLANNING BOARD MEETING <br /> December 17, 1968 <br /> 1 . The regular meeting of the Planning Board was called to order by Chairman <br /> Howitz at 7:30 P. M. on Tuesday, December 17, 1968. <br /> 2. The following were present at roll call : Mesenbring, Kronk, Miedtke, Howitz, <br /> Harty, Englund. <br /> 3. The minutes of the November 19, 1968 meeting were approved as submitted. <br /> 4. Public Hearings - None. <br /> 5. Ordinance Variations. <br /> No one appeared on Sinclair sign request. <br /> 6. Zoning Variations. <br /> a. The Kenzie property rezoning request was discussed by the Board members. <br /> Dr. Harty made a motion to rezone the entire area bounded by Kenzie Terrace, Lowry <br /> Avenue and Wilson Street to multiple dwelling use. The motion died for lack of <br /> a second. <br />>.. . A motion by Mesenbring to rezone the area to allow townhouses died for tact of <br /> a second. <br /> Upon motion by Miedtke, seconded by Englund, that no action be taken at <br /> this time and the zoning remain as it is. <br /> Voting on the motion: <br /> Aye: Kronk, Miedtke, Howitz, Englund. <br /> Nay: Harty, Mesenbring. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Upon motion by Kronk, seconded by Englund to recommend that at a future date Lowry <br /> Avenue be made a full width street of 30 ft. from center of road and that all <br /> property owners fronting on Lowry Avenue be notified. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> The Planning Board received a letter from the Minneapolis Zoning and Planning <br /> Committee which is considering a proposal to restrict truck traffic and excessive <br /> traffic use on Lowry Avenue East of Kenzie Terrace. Chairman Howitz indicated <br /> that he would contact Mayor O'Connor to appoint someone from the Board to meet with <br /> the Minneapolis Planning Committee which was agreed on by the Board. <br /> b. Bill Sauer did not appear. <br /> 7. Old Business - None. <br /> 8. Building Permits - None. <br />
