-2- <br /> c. <br /> 2-c. Mr. Richard W. Kernan representing the Pillsbury Company presented a <br /> proposed Pie Shop to be located on Stinson Boulevard north of the rail- <br /> road tract: and south of the car wash. Motion by Kronk, seconded by <br /> Bratland, to recommend to the Council that the preliminary plans with a <br /> • variance to allow stucco on the exterior be approved. <br /> ` Motion carried. <br /> 8 d. No action taken on this item. <br /> 9. Miscellaneous <br /> a. Mayor Miedtke discussed with the Planning Board the use of Village <br /> facilities and buildings and requested a study of what the board feels <br /> should be done as to a possible relocation or combined use of the liquor <br /> stores. Parking restrictions were also discussed and a study on this <br /> will also be made. <br /> b. The sign ordinance as revised by Orville Bratland and Charles Herman as <br /> revision number 3 was discussed by the Board. Motion by Kronk, seconded <br /> by Parrill , to change the ordinance 1015.04, subd. 2, item 2, to allow <br /> a sign in the commercial district to extend no more than 6 ft. above the <br /> highest point of the wall. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> • The Planning Board recommends the following regarding the sign ordinances <br /> 1 . Submit revision I#3 to Council indicating it has been approved <br /> by the Planning Board. <br /> 2. Recommend to the Council that copies be made available to all <br /> merchants, industrial people, and any interested parties. <br /> 3. Recommend that Council put cover title on proposed ordinance <br /> stating: <br /> a. Public Hearing Date <br /> b. Soliciting constructive comments. <br /> c. Pointing out that Council will consider and incorporate <br /> reasonable changes. <br /> d. Public Hearing <br /> e. Board will recommend final version which incorporates desire- <br /> able changes as determined from public hearing <br /> 10.
