VILLAGE OF ST, ANTHONY <br /> PLANNING BOARD MINUTES <br /> February 150972 <br /> The meeting was called to order at 7:35 P.M. <br /> The following were present at roll call : Herman, Parrill, Kronk, Letourneau, <br /> Bratland, Carlson, Ondrey. <br /> Also Present: Councilmen Sundland, Loeffler, Sauer,Englund. <br /> The minutes of the January 18, 1972 meeting were approved as submitted. <br /> Obert Christen requested approval to construct a garage 40 ft. x 72 ft, at the <br /> rear of 3501 Silver Lake Road. The garage as proposed would be located on part of <br /> the lot to the north which extends behind the property of Robert Christen. This <br /> property is owned by the mother of Robert Christen. It was suggested that the <br /> property be divided so that the part of the lot in question be made a part of the <br /> Robert Christen property. <br /> Motion by Ondrey, seconded by Herman, to deny approval for the structure because <br /> of the trucks involved. <br /> Motion by Bratland, seconded by Parrill, to table action until the Roard can get <br /> legal advice on this item. <br /> • Voting on the motion: <br /> Ayes Parrill, Kronk, Letourneau, Bratland, Carlson <br /> Nay: Herman, Ondrey <br /> -Motion carried. <br /> The Chairman announced that this was the time and place to hold a public hearing <br /> on the requested zoning change of property on Kenzie Terrace between Firestone and <br /> American Legion property from R-1 to Commercial. <br /> Mr. Bill Kelly of the Towle Company stated that the request for rezoning was by <br /> the owners of the property and not McDonalds. <br /> Richard Reid of the Towle Company stated that the property was part of a parking <br /> ratio required by the Kresge Company when they were a tenant in the shopping <br /> center. <br /> Mr. Kosciolek of 2600 27th Avenue N.E. opposed rezoning to Commercial and would <br /> rather see apartments or high rise be built. <br /> Mr. Wehr of 2616 27th Avenue N.E. would like to have the Village make a park on <br /> the property. <br /> • Mr. Fredrick of 2604 27th Avenue N.E. wants to keep residential or multiple claim- <br /> ing enough drive in type of eating places in the area. <br />
