• g <br /> VILLAGE OF ST, ANTHONY <br /> PLANNING BOARD MINUTES <br /> August 15, 1972 <br /> The meeting was called to order at 7:30 P.M. by Chairman Bratland. <br /> The following were present at roil call : Richard Letourneau, Donald Kronk, <br /> Orville Bratland, Richard Carlson, Grace McGinn, Dick Parrill <br /> Absent: Thomas Ondrey <br /> Also present: FIuilding Inspector, Harry Lekson <br /> The Planning Commission officially welcomed Grace McGinn as the new appointee <br /> of the Commission. <br /> The minutes of the July 1'Uth meeting were read. <br /> Motion by Parrill, seconded by Kronk to approve minutes as read. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Mr. Bratland reiterated what took place at the public hearing of August 14, 1972. <br /> Mr. Bob Dircks appeared before the Planning Commission to present his plans and <br /> • drawings for a building 126' x 96' to be built on the corner of 37th and Macal- <br /> aster which would be five feet off the right-of-way of 37th Avenue and 10 feet <br /> off the right-of-way on Macalaster. He informed the Planning Commission that <br /> they had purchased land on Chandler for parking. <br /> Motion by Kronk, seconded by Parrill to recommend the matter not be pursued <br /> further to the Council. No official action be taken but it be recommended for <br /> approval and a building permit be issued. <br /> Motllon carried. <br /> Mr. Dick Gay and Mr. Reuben Johnson of Ruetow & Associates appeared before the <br /> Commission requesting an excavation and foundation permit for Leslie Paper <br /> Company to be constructed in St. Anthony Office Park. <br /> Mr. Gay gave a brief outline of the bond sale procedure, and Mr. Johnson ex- <br /> plained the warehouse/office combination type building to be built in the Office <br /> Park would be primarily stucco and showed design plans for the building and <br /> explained the materials to be used. There would be parking for about 100 cars, <br /> and there are fifty employees. The building would be 52,000 square feet of ware- <br /> house and 11,000 square feet of office. Mr. Johnson explained further that their <br /> architectural firm would be working with the insurance company on a sprinkler <br /> type construction and would conform to all state and Village building codes. <br /> Mr. Bratland asked about the landscape plans and it was explained that the <br /> • landscaping probably would not take place until the spring planting season. <br /> Bratland suggested that they look at the landscape plan for the general area and <br /> surrounding buildings and conform there plan to those plans so that there is an <br /> appearance of continuity about the park. _ <br />
