Mr. Berg
also told the results of his survey of businesses in the area indicating a need
for such a restaurant. A timetable for construction was also considered.
The Board expressed their opinion that, although they all had reservations re-
garding the proposal, the applicant should be allowed a public hearing on the
proposal as presented.
Motion by Mr. Hiebel, seconded by Mr. Bowerman to recommend to the Gouncil that a
public hearing be held on the possible rezoning of the above described property
from Light Industrial to Commercial pursuant to the application.
Motion carried.
Motion by Mr. Hiebel, seconded by Mr. Johnson to table action on a modification
of the sign ordinance to permit certain free standing signs until Mr. Fornell was
present.
Motion carried.
There was a discussion and expression of regret made by the other Board members
about the resignations of Mrs. McGinn and Mr. Kronk from the Board.
Motion by Mr. Hiebel, seconded by Mr. Letourneau to adjourn the meeting at 9:30 PM.
Motion carried.
Helen Crowe, Secy.
