ANTHONY <br /> PLANNING BOARD MINUTES <br /> February 18,1975 <br /> • The meeting was called to order by Chairman Letourneau at 7:34 P.M. <br /> Present for roll call: Marks, Letourneau, Hiebel as well as-new board members <br /> Rymarchick and Cowan. <br /> Absent: Bowerman & Johnson <br /> Also present: Jim Fornell, Adm. Asst. <br /> The minutes of the January 21 Board meeting were amended to correct the date <br /> from January 14th to January 21st. <br /> Motion by Mr. Marks and seconded by Mr. Cowan to approve the minutes of January <br /> 21st as amended. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Mr. Bowerman arrived at 7:36 P.M. <br /> The Public Hearing on granting a conditional use permit to allow Twin City <br /> Federal Savings and Loan to build on the southeast corner of 39th Avenue N.E. <br /> and Silver Lake Road opened at 7:40 P.M. <br /> Present to speak on behalf of the conditional use request were Mr. Qordon Bluhm, <br /> Asst. Secy. of Twin City Federal; Mr. Howard Dahlgren, President of Midwest <br /> Planning & Research and Mr. Dale Einess the developer. <br /> Mr. Dahlgren gave Twin City Federal's request for a conditional use permit of <br /> two year's duration to build a savings and loan branch office on Lots 8, 9, 10 <br /> except the east 60 ft. thereof, Block 7, Mounds View Acres, 2nd Addition as well <br /> as for a variance to the City sign ordinance to allow a 2518" high, 88 sq. ft. <br /> pylon sign, which flashed the time and temperature, to be erected in front of the <br /> building. <br /> He said the request for a conditional use permit only covered that portion which <br /> was 236 x 263 ft., or 1.4 acres, which would be used for the banking operation <br /> and the remaining 225 feet to the south which they intended buying would be held <br /> for possible use as expansion parking space. <br /> Mr. D.,hlberg showed site plans including a probable landscaping plan and pictures <br /> of other savings and loan operations which Twin City Federal now has in the <br /> metro area saying the property would be developed in accordance with the princip- <br /> le and density as shown on the site plans. <br /> There was no definite floor plans for the building since Mr. Bluhm told the Board <br /> they were unable to state at this time whether a one story or two story building <br /> might be needed at the time of construction. He spoke of the possibility of <br /> having a savers club or community room similar to those other financial institut- <br /> ions now have. The banker said most of TCF's existing one-story buildings were <br /> 18 feet high and their two-story Ridgedale office was 39 feet high. <br />
