CITY OF ST. ANTHONY <br /> PLANNING BOARD MINUTES <br /> August 16, 1977 <br /> The meeting was called to order at 7: 42 P.M. by Chairman Hiebel . <br /> Present for roll call: Cowan, Letourneau, Hiebel and Rymarchick . <br /> Also present: Jim Fornell, Acting City Manager <br /> Motion by Mr. Rymarchick and seconded by Mr. Hiebel to approve the <br /> minutes for the July 19, 1977 Planning Board "meeting. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Mr. Cowan agreed to represent the Board at the Council meeting <br /> August 23, 1977. <br /> "The revised site plans for the Local No. 49 union hall proposed to <br /> be built in the St. Anthony Office Park were presented by Mark <br /> • Tritschler, Project Engineer for Rauenhorst Corporation. Changes <br /> reflected input from the Board, Council and Staff and provided 140 <br /> parking spaces to accomodate the union office staff as well as <br /> occasional large meetings of the membership. The building has been <br /> set back to allow the potential expansion of County Road C. Mr. <br /> Tritschler discussed the landscaping and lighting plans for the <br /> building and said the applicants for a building permit would present <br /> proof of an agreement where they could tradeoff parking spaces so <br /> large groups of members who assembled at the hall once a year would <br /> have off-street parking available. <br /> Motion by Mr. Cowan and seconded by Mr. Letourneau to recommend to <br /> the Council approval of a building permit to allow the union hall to <br /> be constructed as proposed on Lot 2, Block 1, St. Anthony Office <br /> Park Addition, subject to conformance with all applicable codes and <br /> ordinances and conditional upon the union obtaining written permission <br /> for enough other businesses in the office park to be able to use at <br /> least 100 additional "off-site" parking spaces for meetings, should <br /> the need for such spaces arise, and with final landscaping, signage <br /> and lighting plans to be submitted for Board review. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> The Board considered Mr. Fornell 's August llth suggestion that the <br /> $3, 500 allocated from the Community Development Block Grant funds <br /> for a planning study of the St. Anthony Shopping Center quadrant be <br />
