- h CITY OF ST. ANTHONY PLANNING BOARD MINUTES July 17 , 1979 The meeting was called to order at 7 : 35 p.m. by Chairman Pro Tem Rymarchick. Present for roll call : Bjorklund, Rymarchick , Sopcinski and Bowerman. Absent: Marks and Jones . Also present : Jim Fornell , City Manager Ron Berg, Administrative Assistant The following corrections were made to the minutes of the Board meeting held June 19 , 19'79 : Page 1, last naragr?ph: Sui,stitute "east" for "south" in the twelfth line. Page 4 , paragraph 4 : The description of the proposed duplex should read "The building with garage will be 45 . 5 feet wide . " Page 5, paragraph 2 : Substitute "platted" for "plotted out" in the seventh line. • Page 7, paragraphs 6 and 7 : Correct spelling is "Walbon" . Motion by Mr. Bowerman and seconded by Mr. Sopci-nski to approve the minutes for the June 19 , 1979 Board meeting as corrected. Motion carried unanimously. Mr . Bowerman will represent the Board at the next Council meeting July 24 . An on-site inspection has convinced staff the Walbon property remains in conforming non-conformance" , Mr . Berg advised the Board in his July 13 memorandum; and the Manager said in a conversation he had with the owner, Mr. Walbon had insisted on "his right to maintain a business within the parameters of his property" . Since a contracting business is still being conducted from the premises , Mr. Fornell said he doesn' t know what can be done about the broken down vehicles on the site and there are only a few species of noxious weeds classi- fied by the state for forced removal, so it is difficult to do much regarding those on the Walbon property. Mr. Bowerman suggested that, in the face of lack of neighbor complaint, the matter be dropped unless there is an opportunity for a trade off for the City to vacate the road easement across the triangular lot the Walbons own at 33rd Avenue N.E. and Old Highway 8 to make it buildable, in return for their • cleaning up this property.
