Planning Commission Meeting Minutes
• May 15, 2001
Page 4
1 Commissioner Hanson asked If the Fire Department would continue to be in charge of enforcing
2 those types of ordinances. Ms. Henry responded that a hotline number has been created by the
3 Fire Department to tend to the concerns and complaints surrounding the various city ordinances.
4 Commissioner Thomas asked if anyone present knew the weight of a tow truck, and stated that if
5 it weighs more than 9,000 pounds, then it is in violation of a code enforcement issue. The weight
6 of a tow truck was not known by anyone on the Planning Committee, but would be determined.
7 Commissioner Hanson stated that a point of sale ordinance should be looked at by the City
8 Council.
9 Vice Chair Stille indicated that the various subcommittees were working well, and asked if
10 anyone was interested in forming a subcommittee on the point of sale ordinance.
11 Commissioner Hanson stated he would be on the subcommittee, and Commissioner Thomas
12 stated he would also be on the subcommittee to discuss the point of sale ordinance.
13 Commissioner Hanson added that other things to look at were how to make the housing stock in
14 the City of St. Anthony more energy conservative conscious.
Commissioners Hanson and Thomas indicated they would have a report for the Planning
16 Commission at the July meeting.
17 Commissioner Hanson stated the bakery would be leaving the St. Anthony Shopping Center, and
18 would be replaced with a pizza shop. He added that a coffee shop, or a small Italian restaurant
19 might take over the library space. He said that potholes were paved in the parking lot today. He
20 indicated that the roofline would be softened, as well. Commissioner Hanson stated he saw all of
21 the changes as positive things, and that the Shopping Center should be filled up by the end of the
22 summer.
23 XI. ADJOURNMENT.
24 Motion by Commissioner Tillmann, second by Commissioner Hanson, to adjourn the meeting at
25 7:30 p.m.
26 Motion carried unanimously.
27 Respectfully submitted,
8 Courtney Seesz
y TimeSaver Off Site Secretarial, Inc.
