Subd. 11. Flags and Emblems. Flags and emblems of governmental, civic, <br /> philanthropic,educational or religious organizations. Flags of the United States, the <br /> state, the city, foreign nationals having diplomatic relations with the United States, and <br /> any other flag adopted or sanctioned by an elected legislative body or competent <br /> jurisdiction, provided that such a flag shall not exceed 60 square feet in area and shall not <br /> be flown from a pole the top of which is more than 40 feet in height. These flags must be <br /> flown in accordance with protocol established by the Congress of the United States for <br /> the Stars and Stripes. Any flag not meeting any one or more of these conditions shall be <br /> considered a temporary sign and shall be subject to regulation as such. <br /> Subd. 12. Residential Real Estate Si ns. Real estate signs, provided the combined sign <br /> surface area of such is not greater than 6 square feet. Real estate signs must be removed <br /> within 7 days after the closing date. <br /> Subd. 13. Commercial Real Estate Signs. Real estate signs erected on private property, <br /> provided the combined sign surface area is not greater than 32 square feet. Real estate <br /> signs must be removed within 7 days after the closing date. <br /> Subd. 14. Signs Affixed on Benches at Public Bus Stops. <br /> Subd. 15. Replacement of Existing Business Identification Signs. A business <br /> identification sign designed to replace an existing business identification sign which <br /> lawfully exists under this Code, so long as the new sign has the same dimensions and is <br /> in the same location as the existing sign, and is not a prohibited sign under Section <br /> 1400.007. <br /> Subd. 16. Non-Commercial ®pinion Signs. Subject to the provisions of Sections <br /> 1400.06 and 1400.07,non-commercial opinion signs are permitted as follows: <br /> A. In all residential districts subject to the following restrictions: <br /> R-1,R-1A and R-2 All other <br /> Districts <br /> 1. Maximum size 6 sq.ft. 15 sq.ft. <br /> 2. Maximum number 1 per lot 1 per lot <br /> 3. Maximum height 6 feet 6 feet <br /> B. All non-residential districts are subject to the following restrictions: <br /> 1. Maximum size 16 sq.ft. <br /> 2. Maximum number 1 per lot <br /> 3. Maximum height 6 feet <br /> 6 <br />
