Planning Commission Meeting Minutes <br /> February 21, 2006 <br /> Page 6 <br /> 1 <br /> 2 XI. GENERAL DISCUSSION <br /> 3 <br /> 4 Commissioner Galyon asked if there is a way to track nuisances and asked if this process could <br /> 5 become a part of the Comprehensive Plan. Chair Stromgren stated that this would be part of the <br /> 6 code update. Ms Moore-Sykes stated that she has been keeping a list of the concerns adding that <br /> 7 Staff would like to hold a public hearing on the issues and move forward. <br /> 8 <br /> 9 Commissioner Galyon asked what the plans are for reconstructing and repairing streets with a lot <br /> 10 of pedestrian traffic. He expressed concerns stating that these areas should be kept safe, <br /> 11 especially those used by children in the City. <br /> 12 <br /> 13 Commissioner Galyon stated that residents have mentioned the intersection between Coolidge <br /> 14 and 35th and expressed concerns that there are no traffic or stop signs at this intersection. He <br /> 15 stated that the area has had a number of problems with cars speeding through the intersection and <br /> 16 asked if this would be addressed. Ms. Moore-Sykes stated that she would make sure that the <br /> 17 Public Works Director is aware of this problem. <br /> 18 <br /> 19 XII. ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> 20 <br /> 21 Commissioner Jenson stated that the Hennepin County Task Force wrapped up last Monday <br /> 22 noting that Hennepin County is currently compiling a questionnaire of the highlighted issues for <br /> 23 Silver Lake Road. He indicated that Hennepin County significantly utilized the input received <br /> 24 from the task force and citizens noting that their input was very positively received by Hennepin <br /> 25 County. He stated that it was a very good process noting that the plan is to develop the budget <br /> 26 this year and execute in 2007. <br /> 27 <br /> 28 XIII.
