UPDATE ON COMPREHENSIVE PLAN <br /> 2 <br /> 3 Assistant City Manager Moore-Sykes reported the Comprehensive Plan is currently being <br /> 4 reviewed by the Metropolitan Council. The Metropolitan Council has requested submittal of the <br /> 5 City's Water System Summary, which is being prepared by the City's Engineering Firm, WSB <br /> 6 and Associates. <br /> 7 <br /> 8 X.2. UPDATE ON THE CITY CODE RECODIFICATION <br /> 9 <br /> 10 Assistant City Manager Moore-Sykes reported staff is currently waiting for a response from <br /> 11 American Legal Publishing on their review of the City Code Recodification. <br /> 12 <br /> 13 Commissioner Jenson inquired about the status of the standardized code guidelines that were <br /> 14 previously presented by the Fire Marshal. <br /> 15 <br /> 16 Chair Stromgren noted that the Fire Code, Building Code and Housing Code are in effect under <br /> 17 State Law; the City Code will be brought up to date. <br /> 18 <br /> 19 Assistant City Manager Moore-Sykes indicated changes to the Housing Code have been adopted <br /> 20 in City Code and are in effect as of the publication date. <br /> 21 <br /> 22 Commissioner Jenson asked when the City Code Recodification will go into effect. <br /> 23 <br /> 24 Assistant City Manager Moore-Sykes replied the Recodification will likely go into effect in <br /> 25 November of this year. City Council review is required, which includes an approval process. <br /> 26 <br /> 27 X.3. SILVER LAKE ROAD UPDATE <br /> 28 <br /> 29 Assistant City Manager Moore-Sykes reported the June update on the Silver Lake Road Project <br /> 30 is included in the Commission's packet. She distributed the July update and stated the <br /> 31 contractors have reported that everything is running on time. She commented there have been <br /> 32 very few complaints and people have been very patient. <br /> 33 <br /> 34 XI. COMMUNITY FORUM. <br /> 35 <br /> 36 None. <br /> 37 <br /> 38 XII. INFORMATION AND ANNOUNCEMENTS. <br /> 39 <br /> 40 Assistant City Manager Moore-Sykes stated two member of the Commission will be out of town <br /> 41 on the regularly scheduled meeting date in August. The meeting could be cancelled or <br /> 42 rescheduled as a worksession on a different week. Today is the deadline for most applications, <br /> 43 and none have been submitted at this time. There have not been any inquiries or requests to <br /> 44 schedule a concept review. <br /> 45 <br />
