CODE ENFORCEMENT REPORT <br /> 31 <br /> 32 Fire Chief Malenick presented the St. Anthony City Code Enforcement Activity Third Quarter <br /> 33 2009 Report. In addition to the report on code enforcement activity, he noted major code changes <br /> 34 and the re-codification were completed in 2009. He stated most significant was the adoption of <br /> 35 the International Property Maintenance Code to supplement the Housing Code. He noted that the <br /> 36 City is in the second year of the Rental Property Inspection Program. <br /> 37 <br /> 38 Fire Chief Malenick provided the following information in response to questions of the Planning <br /> 39 Commission. <br /> 40 • The increase in complaints regarding garbage cans is likely due to the issue being <br /> 41 highlighted with the ordinance amendment that allowed for garbage cans to be stored in <br /> 42 front yards. <br /> 43 • The International Property Maintenance Code draws on past court rulings which <br /> 44 facilitates the court system process. <br /> 45 9 The annual report to the City Council will include a tally of the enforcement categories. <br />
