(:. eaiOnxlho
e
3301 Silver Lake Road, St. Anthony, Minnesota 55418-1699
Office: (612) 782-3301 • Fax: (612) 782-3302 • www.ci.saint-anthony.mn.us
June 22,2010
Mr. Terry Abney
Abney Development Services, Inc.
3286 Lark Haven Drive
Kennesaw,Georgia 30152
RE: 3701 Stinson Avenue NE
Dear Mr. Abney:
This letter is being sent as an acknowledgement of receipt of your request for a
Conditional Use Permit(CUP) for 3701 Stinson, dated June 21, 2010 and received by
Staff on June 22,2010. Also included with this letter,is a receipt for the CUP application
fees ($130) and a copy of the public hearing notice.
As the public hearing notice indicates, your CUP request will be considered at a
public hearing scheduled for 7:00pm on July 20,2010 at the Planning Commission
meeting. The City Council will consider the Planning Commission's recommendation at
their regularly scheduled Council meeting on July 27, 2010 also at 7:00pm. Both
meetings will be held at City Hall in the Council Chambers. You or a representative are
required to be in attendance at both the Planning Commission meeting and City Council
meeting to answer any questions about your request.
As part of your submittal, you asked about the possibility of obtaining a variance
to the front setback for the building location in the event something occurs to damage
the existing building to the point that the owner would be required to bring the non-
conforming situation into conformance with the City Ordinance. Currently, the
property is considered legal non-conforming, which is an acceptable situation for zoning
requirements. Should the building be destroyed beyond the 50% market value
threshold, the City would consider a variance request at that time.
Our Mission is to be a progressive and livable community, a walkable village, which is safe and secure.
