Councilmember Gray stated <br />his children also participated in the DARE program and they have great memories. He thanked <br />Captain for his service. Councilmember Breyer stated her children admire and respected Captain <br />Cotroneo. Mayor Faust stated Chief Ohl and Captain Cotroneo were a great team. Captain <br />Cotroneo's influence on the children and residents of the City is telling of the class act he is. <br />Mayor Faust thanked him for his service to the City. <br />City Manager Mark Casey announced Thursday, June 2 from 4 -6pm there will be an open house <br />for these retirements at City Hall. <br />Chief John Ohl stated his 33 years in law enforcement were wonderful. He thanked numerous <br />people for their support including the City Council, the City Manager, the Police Officers, the <br />Office Manager, Dominic Cotroneo, and his family. <br />Mr. Dave Unmacht, Executive Director, League of Minnesota Cities provided words of best <br />wishes to Captain Cotroneo and Chief Ohl. <br />City Manager Casey thanked Chief Ohl for his service, his professionalism and his friendship. <br />Councilmember Breyer thanked Chief Ohl for his service and his concern for individuals. <br />Councilmember Gray congratulated Chief Ohl on his retirement. Councilmember Stille stated <br />Chief Ohl has been a great Chief and a great ambassador for the community. Councilmember <br />Jenson stated it has been a privilege to know Chief Ohl and see his excellent work. Mayor Faust <br />stated it is difficult to use words to describe what Chief Ohl has done for the City. Chief Ohl's <br />leadership is outstanding and he has never asked anyone to do something that he has not done <br />himself. Mayor Faust stated Chief Ohl deserves the time to relax and reflect and he is grateful to <br />have had Chief Ohl in the City. <br />Mr. Dave Unmacht, League of Minnesota Cities, provided an update on the LMC activities. <br />CONSENT AGENDA. <br />A. Resolution 16 -040 a resolution Approving Gambling License by the Minnesota Youth <br />Athletic Services Organization at The Unofficial Located at 3701 Stinson Boulevard <br />Motion by Councilmember Brever, seconded by Councilmember Jenson to approve the Consent <br />Agenda items as presented. <br />PUBLIC HEARING - NONE. <br />REPORTS FROM COMMISSION AND STAFF - NONE <br />GENERAL BUSINESS OF COUNCIL <br />Motion carried 5 -0 <br />
