Resolution 16 -044 a resolution Authorizing the he Agreement with Hennepin County for the <br />3 Use of E -Poll Pads <br />5 City Manager Casey reviewed the resolution to authorize the agreement with Hennepin County <br />6 for the use of E -Poll Pads. Hennepin County has purchased electronic poll books from <br />7 KNOWiNK to be used in Hennepin County cities. There is no cost to the City of St. Anthony <br />8 for the E -Poll Pads. The E -Poll Pads will be used starting with the Primary Election on August <br />9 9, 2016 and will speed up lines at the polls; help election judges through each step of the process, <br />10 including election day registration; allow instantaneous absentee ballot updates to be received <br />11 wirelessly; provide cities data on polling place activity and Election Judge performance; and <br />12 enable cities to hire fewer election judges eventually by making polling places more efficient. <br />13 <br />14 Councilmember Jenson asked if the E -Poll Pads would be used in the Ramsey County portion of <br />15 polling and Mr. Casey stated the Hennepin County sites would have the E -Poll Pads and they are <br />16 still working with Ramsey County for the Ramsey County sites. <br />17 <br />18 Mayor Faust stated the E -Poll will replace the sign in sheets and decrease the number of election <br />19 judges needed over time. <br />20 <br />21 Motion by Councilmember Jenson, seconded by Councilmember Brever, to approve Resolution <br />22 16 -044 a resolution Authorizing the he Agreement with Hennepin County for the Use of E -Poll <br />23 Pads. <br />24 <br />25 Motion carried 5 -0 <br />26 <br />27 VII. REPORTS FROM CITY MANAGER AND COUNCIL MEMBERS. <br />28 <br />29 City Manager Casey reported there will be a construction education event held on Stinson <br />30 Avenue in the Unofficial Parking lot on Thursday, May 19 at 3:00 p.m. Free and open to all. The <br />31 event will be an opportunity for people to see how construction works. <br />32 <br />33 All residents should have received a postcard advising about the watering ban and the splash <br />34 pads being closed. More information can be found on the City's website. Green door hangers <br />35 will be placed on doors of non - compliant residents. <br />36 <br />37 197 vehicles went through for the Spring Clean-up held last Saturday. This is slightly down from <br />38 last year. <br />39 <br />40 Councilmember Gray reported last Monday, May 2, he attended the Council Work Session and <br />41 on Wednesday, May 4, he attended the Sports Boosters meeting. On May 7, he attended the City <br />42 Clean-Up Day. <br />43 <br />44 Councilmember Brever reported she attended the Council Work Session and also the City Clean- <br />45 Up Day. <br />46 <br />47 Councilmember Jenson stated he attended the Council Work Session and the City Clean-Up Day. <br />48 He attended the Wilshire Park Open House for grandparents. The school was packed. <br />
