•1 H.R.A. MEETING
2 MARCH 23, 1993
3 PAGE 4
4
5
6
7 7. PURCHASE OF PORTIONS OF 2805 27TH AVENUE NORTHEAST AND 2817
8 PAHL AVENUE NORTHEAST (H.R.A. RESOLUTION NO. 1993-001)
9
10 Commissioner Fleming stated she has reviewed the minutes of
11 the Task Force meeting and the Planning Commission meeting and
12 did not find any specific actions regarding acceptance of Plan
13 D for the redevelopment of the south end.
14
15 Executive Director Burt advised Concept D was selected from
16 recommendations.
17
18 Commissioner Fleming suggested that the owner of the Unocal
19 service station, Roger Bona, be requested to come to a Council
20 meeting to present his plans for his station and property.
21 Other members of the H.R.A. agreed this would be appropriate.
22
23 The Executive Director advised he and the H.R.A. Attorney had
24 met with Mr. Bona and his lawyer to discuss Mr. Bona's
25 concerns regarding this redevelopment. He noted that Plan D
0-1
did not leave his business access to 27th Avenue. The Plan
also recommended giving Mr. Bona an additional 6,000 square
28
feet to maintain a buffer between his business and the nearby
29
residences. The H.R.A. Attorney noted he had advised Mr. Bona
30
he must meet all of the requirements of the area or this
31
additional property will not be given to him.
32
33
Mr. Bona had been advised to submit a plan. To date, the
34
Executive Director has not heard from him or anything about
35
his plan. It was also noted that the service station operates
36
with a conditional use permit. This affords the Planning
37
Commission the opportunity to place some requirements on it if
38
desired.
39
40
Commissioner Fleming questioned if there would still be access
41
to the back of the service station and the adjacent building
42
owned by Mr. Bona with no access to 27th Avenue. Staff felt
43
there would still be access.
44
45
Motion by Enrooth, second by Wagner to approve H.R.A.
46
Resolution No. 1993-001 being a resolution authorizing the
47
Chair and Executive Director to sign purchase agreements on
48
behalf of the St. Anthony Housing and Redevelopment Authority.
49
50
Motion carried unanimously
i 1
U
