Consider Resolution 09 -069 Accept Feasibility Report and Order Plans and <br />14 _Specifications for the 2010 Street Project. Todd Hubmer, WSB & Associates <br />15 <br />16 Mr. Todd Hubmer, WSB & Associates, presented an overview of the 2010 Street and Utility <br />17 Improvements Feasibility Report on the following improvements: <br />18 <br />19 Street and Utility Reconstruction <br />20 Silver Lane from Silver Lake Road to 16th Avenue SW <br />21 <br />22 Bituminous Mill and Overlay <br />23 Old Highway 7 from Highway 88 to 33rd Avenue NE <br />24 Highcrest Road from 33`d Avenue NE to 37`h Avenue NE <br />25 <br />26 Sidewalk and Street Lighting Improvements <br />27 Silver Lane from Stinson Boulevard to 16th Avenue SW <br />28 <br />29 Mr. Hubmer reviewed the proposed resolution accepting the 2010 Street and Utility <br />30 Improvements Feasibility Report and authorizing preparation of final plans and specifications. <br />31 <br />32 Councilmember Thuesen noted page 1 of the executive summary lists about 2,300 feet of water <br />33 main and about 1,800 of sanitary sewer, which is a difference of approximately 500 feet. He <br />34 inquired about the difference. Mr. Hubmer replied that there is a gap in the sanitary sewer in the <br />35 area east of Fordum Street and the Foss Road lift station, while the water main will be replaced <br />36 for the entire street length. <br />37 <br />38 Councilmember Thuesen verified with Mr. Hubmer that the improvements will be staged to <br />39 minimize hassle factors as much as possible. He asked if the new utilities with today's standards <br />40 are expected to last longer. Mr. Hubmer replied it is anticipated that the new materials will last <br />41 from 70 to 100 years. <br />42 <br />43 Councilmember Roth inquired why the total cost of improvements is lower for New Brighton <br />44 than St. Anthony. Mr. Hubmer indicated that the higher cost allocated to St. Anthony is due to <br />45 the sidewalks and street lighting. <br />46 <br />
