REPORTS FROM COMMISSION AND STAFF. <br />9 None. <br />10 <br />11 VI. GENERAL BUSINESS OF COUNCIL. <br />12 <br />13 A. Update on Silver Lake Village. Len Pratt Pratt Homes presenting. <br />14 <br />15 Mr. Len Pratt, Pratt Homes, addressed the City Council and provided an update on Silver Lake <br />16 Village, including the following information: <br />17 ■ Silver Lake Village Sales and Availability Update, dated September 8, 2009: <br />18 o The Cottages at Silver Lake Village; Village Condominiums at Silver Lake <br />19 Village; Senior Coop; Rental/Other <br />20 o Silver Lake Village Total Tax Base Generated, dated September 8, 2009 <br />21 ■ Silver Lake Marketing Plan, July— October 2009 <br />22 ■ Silver Lake Cooperative Information: <br />23 o Floor Plans <br />24 o Questions and Answer Sheet <br />25 <br />26 Mr. Pratt provided information on Silver Lake Village in response to questions of the City <br />27 Council. Informational meetings are a key component of the Silver Lake Marketing Plan. Avanti <br />28 Consulting is involved with the project and comes with 19 years of experience. A lot of work has <br />29 gone into the floor plans, including focus groups from potential purchasers. HUD financing will <br />30 be involved with unit purchases. Clients of the project are current residents of St. Anthony, and <br />31 are also being drawn from the cities of New Brighton, Columbia Heights, Roseville and <br />32 Minneapolis. The walkable community is playing a large part in attracting customers to the <br />33 project. Individuals are impressed with the tradition of the City including the Police and Fire <br />34 Departments, the fact that the streets are kept up, the schools are highly rated, and the services <br />35 that are needed are provided inside the city boundaries. A timeframe of spring 2010 is <br />36 anticipated for ground breaking. <br />37 <br />38 Mayor Faust thanked Mr. Pratt for the dogged approach to the Silver Lake Village project. He <br />39 pointed out that the project has something for everyone with the for -rent apartments, condos, <br />40 cottages and coop. <br />41 <br />42 Mr. Pratt stated individuals looking for further information on the project can contact him at Pratt <br />43 Homes at 651- 429 -8032. A schedule of the informational meetings planned through the months <br />44 of September and October will be left at city hall. <br />45 <br />
