City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br />March 11, 2008 <br />Page 5 <br />1 Finance Director Larson replied they are all 15 year fixed rates. <br />2 <br />3 Finance Director Larson commented that two requirements looming in the future include the <br />4 GASB 45, which would be implemented in 2009, and the SAS requirements that would focus <br />5 more on internal controls which will be implemented this audit year. <br />Mayor Pro Tern Thuesen thanked Mr. Larson for his informative presentation and indicted with <br />this information it assists the council in making informative decisions. <br />10 VII. REPORTS FROM CITY MANAGER AND COUNCIL MEMBERS <br />11 <br />12 City Manager Mornson reported the next meeting would include the Public Safety portion which <br />13 includes Police and Fire. <br />14 <br />15 City Manager Mornson reported he would conduct two Junior Achievement classes between <br />16 March 4, and April 18, 2008. <br />17 <br />18 City Manager Mornson reported St. Anthony received public acknowledgement from the <br />19 MMBA President, and was recognized during a training session. <br />20 <br />21 City Manager Mornson reported the Health Fair will occur on April 4, 2008 from 10:00 a.m. to <br />22 2:00 p.m. He stated this event is hosted by the Kiwanis in conjunction with the Senior Citizens, <br />23 and the St. Anthony Police and Fire Departments. <br />24 <br />25 City Manager Mornson reported the Historical Society would hold an open house on April 5 <br />26 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. <br />27 <br />28 City Manager Mornson reported the Silver Lake Road Open House would be held on March 31, <br />29 2008 from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. <br />30 <br />31 City Manager Mornson reported that Salo Park would be nominated for the Minnesota Society of <br />32 Landscape Architects Award by Bonestroo. <br />33 <br />34 City Manager Mornson reported he, Councilmember Gray and Kim Moore -Sykes met with the <br />35 North Suburban Cable Commission on March 6, 2008 to discuss the franchise expiration. <br />36 <br />37 City Manager Mornson reported the MWMO interviewed four Construction Management Firms <br />38 on February 26, 2008. <br />39 <br />40 City Manager Mornson reported the Joint Meeting with the Planning Commission will occur on <br />41 March 18, 2008 at 5:30 p.m. <br />42 <br />43 Councilmember Stille reported the Sister City Board met on February 9, 2008. He stated an <br />44 invitation was received from Salo inviting City Officials to a 2009 Summit to discuss community <br />45 issues. He stated council members from Salo would visit in June, 2008. <br />46 <br />
