REPORTS FROM CITY MANAGER AND COUNCIL MEMBERS. <br />City Manager Mornson reported on the following: <br />• Upcoming City Council meetings <br />• His attendance at the Transportation Policy meeting with Metropolitan Cities and the <br />Human Resources Meeting with the League of Minnesota Cities <br />• Tonight is the last meeting that Greg Dewey, the cable operator, will be attending. Staff is <br />beginning a process to advertise for a new cable operator. Interns at CTV may be used to <br />fill in until a replacement is found. <br />Mayor Faust thanked Greg for his work with the City. <br />Councilmember Gray reported on the following: <br />• His attendance at the July 10th North Suburban Community Commission meeting <br />• His attendance at the July 16th Village Fest Committee meeting. <br />• Village Fest scheduled events <br />Councilmembers Roth, Stille and Thuesen stated they have nothing to report. <br />Mayor Faust reported on attending the following events: <br />• July 8th Middle Mississippi Watershed Management Organization Quarterly meeting <br />• July 11 th League of Minnesota Fiscal Futures Policy Committee meeting <br />• July 15th Metropolitan Cities Revenue and Taxation Committee meeting <br />• July 21s' Grant Evaluation and Ranking Systems (GEARS) Committee meeting, <br />including an overview of the purpose and process of GEARS. <br />VIII. COMMUNITY FORUM. <br />Mayor Faust invited residents to come forward at this time and address the Council on items that <br />are not on the regular agenda. <br />Hearing none, Mayor Faust moved forward with the agenda. <br />IX. INFORMATION AND ANNOUNCEMENTS. <br />Councilmember Stille announced the following: <br />• The Consent Agenda earlier in the meeting included a resolution accepting a donation <br />from the Kiwanis Club of St. Anthony. The Kiwanis Club supports many organizations <br />involved with children around the community and sponsors kids clubs of all ages. This is <br />a prime fundraising time for the Kiwanis Club. They will be holding a fundraising <br />breakfast on Sunday, August 3rd at the St. Anthony Village Shopping Center. Advance <br />tickets are available. In addition, the Kiwanis Club is holding a tennis ball rollout <br />fundraising event. <br />• The St. Anthony Community Theater production "Urine Town" will be running July 25th <br />July 20h, August 1st, and August 2nd at 8:00 p.m. and August 3`d at 2:00 p.m. <br />
