REPORTS FROM CITY MANAGER AND COUNCIL MEMBERS.

City Manager Mornson reported on the following:
■ Assistant City Manager Moore -Sykes will attend the September 23, 2008 City Council
meeting on his behalf. He will be attending the ICMA conference.
■ Staff will meet with the School District regarding the components on the approved
referendum for improved transportation drop off for high school and middle school
students. One concern is that the area they would like to widen is on City property, so
there will be a need for an easement from the City. Another concern is that there are
utilities underground in this location for the water tower and well house. This may be an
item of discussion at a future date.
■ The next single hauler task force meeting is scheduled for Monday, September 15`h at
6:30 p.m.
• The Police Department provided 377 man hours at the Republican Convention this past
week at the cost of the federal government. They were not involved in any incidents.

Councilmember Roth stated in relation to the dog incident, he would hope that the City Manager
and Police Chief will review the dog ordinance. If someone were to call the Police Department
tonight and say that Guido bit them, that dog would be put on the "dangerous" list once again.
