City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br />September 23, 2008 <br />Page 5 <br />Councilmember Gray reported on his attendance at the September 23, 2008 MWMO workshop <br />held on the Mississippi River. <br />5 Mayor Faust reported on the following: <br />6 • The League of Minnesota Cities Fiscal Future Policy Committee meeting. The Fiscal <br />7 Future Policy will be forwarded to the Board for approval, and then to general <br />8 memberships on November 20, 2008 at the regional meeting. <br />9 ■ September 16, 2008 Chamber of Commerce kick -off luncheon of Shop Local. It should <br />10 be remembered that businesses have a higher tax capacity than residents and help in the <br />11 City's taxes. The more we can support the businesses locally the more they can support <br />12 the City. <br />13 ■ September 23, 2008 MWMO workshop held on the Mississippi River. <br />14 <br />15 VIII. COMMUNITY FORUM. <br />16 <br />17 Mayor Faust invited residents to come forward at this time and address the Council on items that <br />18 are not on the regular agenda. <br />19 <br />20 Hearing none, Mayor Faust moved forward with the agenda. <br />21 <br />22 IX.
