REPORTS FROM COMMISSION AND STAFF. <br />11 <br />12 None. <br />13 <br />14 VI. GENERAL BUSINESS OF COUNCIL. <br />15 <br />16 A. Emerald Park Update. Jean Garbarini Close Landscape <br />17 <br />18 Ms. Jean Garbarini, Close Landscape, provided an update on the Emerald Park Reconstruction <br />19 Project, including the following information: <br />20 • Project Location <br />21 ■ Site Plan <br />22 ■ Summary Open House Comments <br />23 ■ Current Plan <br />24 • Project Schedule <br />25 <br />26 In regards to the open house comments, Councilmember Stille suggested consideration of dog <br />27 litter receptacles at some point in the future, if not in this bid. He suggested comments be <br />28 requested from the Police Chief regarding concerns expressed that brush and tree cover may <br />29 encourage indecent behavior. He noted the request for another tree to block foul balls from the <br />30 ball field. Ms. Garbarini indicated the intent to accommodate this request in the plan. <br />31 <br />32 Councilmember Stille requested that future presentations include information on what has been <br />33 accomplished in the planning process, not only future schedules. <br />34 <br />35 Mayor Faust stressed that it is imperative to seriously consider the recommendations and <br />36 feedback given at open houses. <br />37 <br />38 Councilmember Roth asked if the plan will include other picnic tables in addition to the two <br />39 planned for the shelter area. Ms. Garbarini replied additional picnic tables are being considered <br />40 for the knoll area in the southeast corner of the park near the picnic shelter. <br />41 <br />42 Councilmember Roth asked if the tables would be movable or chained to the ground. Ms. <br />43 Garbarini replied the picnic tables that are within the shelter will not likely be movable. Picnic <br />44 tables could be provided in the lawn area that are movable, but restrained to an extent. <br />M <br />
