Ordinance 07 -004• Text Amendment to Light Industrial Section 1640.02 (Second <br />24 Reading) <br />25 <br />26 Assistant City Manager Moore -Sykes reported the prospective buyers of 2812 Anthony Lane <br />27 South requested a text amendment to the City's Zoning Ordinance to allow daycares as a <br />28 permitted conditional use in the Industrial Zoning District. She stated the applicants presented <br />29 the proposed text amendment to the Planning Commission in a concept review at the August 21, <br />30 2007 Planning Commission meeting. She stated Staff sent the proposed text amendment to the <br />31 City Attorney for his review and comments. She stated the proposed text amendment was <br />32 considered at a Public Hearing during the September 18, 2007 Planning Commission meeting <br />33 where it was recommended for approval. <br />34 <br />35 Assistant City Manager Moore -Sykes stated the applicant presented the proposed text <br />36 amendment to the City Council on September 25, 2007 for Council action. She reported the <br />37 Council moved the first reading and requested it back before the City Council for a second <br />38 reading at the October 9, 2007 City Council Meeting. She stated that if the proposed language <br />39 change is approved, it would allow daycare centers as a permitted conditional use in the <br />40 Industrial Zoning District and this would require an approved Conditional Use Permit (CUP). <br />41 <br />42 Motion by Councilmember Thuesen, seconded by Councilmember Gray, to approve Ordinance <br />43 07 -004, an Ordinance Amending Chapter 15 of the City Code being Zoning and Land Use, <br />44 Second Reading. <br />45 <br />46 Motion carried. <br />
